Academia Familia Latina, the first certificate program for Latino families was a 5 session week course that provided information regarding post-secondary educational opportunities for Latinos in the Gallatin Valley. It was inspiring to see families attend and show interest in pursuing higher education and planning for a better future for themselves and their children.

This program was possible thanks to the collaboration between Montana State University-Bozeman and Gallatin College MSU, led by Rebecca Turk, PhD, Bridget Kevane, Sarah Maki, Anna Reardon, Jessi Cannaday, and myself.

Education is not a dream, it is a plan!
